What a good looking class!
I had a difficult time coming up with a name for my blog until I recently spoke to a parent and she told me that her child referred to me as "The Dancing Teacher". I'm sure this title was given to me because I participated in Dancing with the Wrentham Stars, but I felt it was a perfect fit because I do occasionally like to dance and sing during lessons! Welcome to "The Dancing Teacher" Mrs. Pitman's Blog!

What a week!
I can already tell this is going to be a great school year! The first day I found something I liked about each one of the students. They were helpful to each other, eager to listen and learn, and had huge smiles on their faces! Below are the first day of school pictures (in case you forgot to take one at home) that document the start of the 2015-2016 school year!
What a good looking class!

Last post of the year!
When they came in September they didn't realize how much they'd grow,
Leaving with a pool full of knowledge and much they now know!
Addison was shy at the start, but immediately broke out of her shell,
Camryn always tried hard, and did very well!
Catie was eager to participate and always raised her hand,
Grace sang all day as if she was in a band!
Isabel wrote and wrote and wrote, she could not stop,
Isabella always rose academically to the top.
Jack conquered hands-on tasks every week,
Kyle's funny jokes were always at full peak.
Landon was helpful and always eager to please,
Lucas was social and fit in with ease.
Michael was a huge history fan,
Noah always was willing to lend a helping hand.
Nolan was excited to participate in math everyday,
Norah, the principal, was reliable and we wish she could stay.
Quentin's drawings were amazing and couldn't be beat,
Ryan's curiosity was endearing and sweet.
Sawyer always had his nose in a book,
Sierra was a role model who always gave and never took.
Tommy was a leader and took this job on,
Together they worked and created a bond.
I will miss this class so very much!
Good luck in third grade and stay in touch!
Below are pictures from the beginning of the year and the end of the year! Look how much they have changed!
Principal of the Day
Norah won Principal of the Day! What a great leader she was! She visited classrooms, made decisions, and was Mrs. Wagstaff's helping hand! When asked what she thought of being principal she said, "It was fun, you walk around a lot and it is very tiring!" She made every second graders day by "making the decision" to give them an extra recess! Great job Norah! I can see you in this role in the future.

Field Day!!!!
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is field day! I LOVE this day! It is one of the few opportunities I have to watch the kiddos run around and have FUN (and I can too)!
A couple of reminders:
1. Please have them wear sunscreen, a hat, and sneakers!
2. Their t-shirts are here at school and they can change into them in the am (they are light blue and fluorescent green).
3. Please have them bring a water bottle with their name on it.
4. We will be on the baseball fields. The first 4 events go from 8:45-9:45. We will break for snack. Then do the last 4 events from 10:30-11:30.
5. You are welcome to join us for lunch. It will be at 12:00. Please feel free to bring a blanket to sit on.
The kiddos will then go to recess.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Kristin
