Thank you Home Depot!

This week the children were introduced to the glued sound exceptions ind, old, ild, ost, and olt. We call these Kind Old Wild Ghost words and olt.
I might have "borrowed" some paint color samples from Home Depot to create a Work on Words activity for the kids.  The children had to create real words using the paint slides.  Check out the pictures below!

What a day for a hike! The kids had a blast. We climbed to the top and then the kids participated in a Fall Scavenger Hunt with a friend!  When we got back down, the children wrote about the adventure in their writing journal. Some students were able to share what they wrote. They spoke about the beautiful views, fun activity, and spending time with their hunting buddy. All in all it was a great day!
